Sonya has seven years’ experience as a social planner, delivering social research, planning, and stakeholder engagement with a high degree of integrity and quality.
She specialises in social impact assessment (SIA) and is a qualified practitioner having completed more than 20 SIAs. She also has extensive experience developing social needs assessments and workforce strategies informed by stakeholder engagement and socio-economic research.
Sonya is highly skilled in primary and secondary data collection, collation, and analysis for social research.
Driven by her passion to deliver socially sustainable outcomes, Sonya explores social trends within communities to reveal strengths, vulnerabilities, and meaningful opportunities.
Sonya brings a strong appreciation of regional Australian communities relating to shifting economies and emerging industries, including matters relating to local employment and training, land use planning, and housing availability.
