Spatial Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Spatial Analyst to be based in our Armidale, Brisbane or Newcastle office.

Key accountabilities of the role are:

  • collate, compile and analyse spatial data

  • design, produce and edit digital maps using mapping software

  • extract meaningful insights from data to support informed decision-making and project outcomes

  • create clear and effective visualisations to communicate complex spatial information to diverse stakeholders

  • participate in internal quality reviews providing feedback to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance of project deliverables while ensuring a high-quality standard is met

  • maintain accurate records and documentation to support project execution and implementation of company policies and procedures

You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in environmental science, geospatial science, spatial science, engineering, urban and regional planning, data science, remote sensing and earth observation, computer science or other relevant discipline

  • minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience, ideally working with ArcGIS software (experience with other GIS platforms will also be considered)

  • solid cartography and spatial analysis skills

  • experience working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams and engaging with external stakeholders, including clients and partners

  • strong attention to detail

  • ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes within agreed timeframes and budgets

  • flexibility and willingness to travel for professional development or site visits including local, regional and interstate travel

  • proficiency in database programming languages is desirable but not essential
